Food supplement for women in the period of pregnancy planning based on myo-inositol and folic acid
The daily dose (1 capsule) contains 400 μg of the active form of folic acid (calcium L-methylfolate). Folic acid is a vitamin of the B group (vitamin B9), its increased intake is especially important before a planned pregnancy and in the first weeks of pregnancy. In the body, it turns into a biologically active substance – the so-called folate. 1Folates contribute to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and play an important role in the process of cell division.
Supplemental intake increases folate levels in pregnant women. Low folate levels in pregnant women are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the developing fetus2.
In addition to folic acid, the daily dose also contains 250 mg of myo-inositol, which occurs naturally in the human body. It is a part of cell membranes and participates in a number of biochemical reactions in the body.
